Consider an energy-efficient hot tub.
Some hot tubs simply lose much of the energy they consume, especially older models. Running costs are higher in cold climates, if the hot tub has little or poor insulation, and/or are heated for a lot of the time. Lower your hot tub temperature to 100°F to save even more energy.
What You Need to Do
-
1Go to a pool supply vendor with a range of energy-saving pool heaters and arrange to have your heater replaced.
-
2Be sure to select an energy efficient replacement.
